Kevin D. Yusman

Kevin D. Yusman grew up in the St. Louis, Missouri area.  He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at the University of Kansas in 1995 and was awarded his Juris Doctor graduating cum laude from Southern Methodist University in 1998.  After law school, Kevin was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Navy, Judge Advocate General’s Corps and served on active duty from 1999 until 2004.  From 2002 until 2004, Kevin was appointed and served as the Senior Trial Counsel for Navy Forces for Europe and Southwest Asia.  Currently, Kevin is a drilling reservist in the Navy Reserves with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. 

Kevin concentrates his practice in commercial and personal injury litigation.  His clients range from municipalities to large and small businesses to individuals.  Kevin also provides advice to his clients on employment and labor matters.  In 2007, Kevin was awarded an attorney rating of CV by Martindale Hubbell.

Kevin was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2004, the California bar in 2000 and the Texas bar in 1998.  He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois, including the trial bar, the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Kevin is an active member in the Illinois State Bar Association and is currently on its Standing Committee for Military Affairs.  Kevin is also a member of the Will County Bar Association.
